Peter Gietz

Peter Gietz, Master of Arts (Magister Artium) in Cultural Studies and Indology, has been active in the fields of information technology since 1985. The internationally recognized expert for directory services is especially interested and skilled in Digital Humanities, Identity Management, X.500, LDAP, PKI (X.509 and PGP), meta data and ontologies.

Studies of Indology and Religious Studies at the universities of Heidelberg and Tübingen, graduating as Magister Artium (Master of Arts)

Teacher of computer courses for adults and university lecturer for seminars about the portrayal of religion in German television as a member of the media project “Tübinger Religionswissenschaft” (Religious Studies of Tübingen)
Contributor of the Purana Project, where he was co-author of the Epic and Puranic bibliography and in addition mainly responsible for indexing, layout, and typesetting

Research assistant at the Center of Data Processing (Zentrum für Datenverarbeitung, ZDV) of the University of Tübingen: automated conversion of data in word processing programs

Additionally, position as computer specialist and database programmer at the Institute for Forensic Medicine (Institut für Rechtsmedizin) at the University of Tübingen
