The Project

TextGrid is a virtual research environment for all text-based disciplines of the humanities.

The features of TextGrid include:

tools for academic editorial work
standardized interfaces for publication software, research data and research tools
modules for academic text data processing
administration of defined and controlled access to data and tools
collaborational possibilities for scholars based on a high-available data repository

The Goals

The vision of a digital ecosystem is based on the continuing revolution of the open source spirit, and is thought to enable a free exchange of individual components and specific adaptions depending on the requirements of the different communities.

In addition, the aim of TextGrid is to faciliate editorial work for humanistic scholars and to make text data processing more efficient.

Our Contribution

The focus of DAASI International:

user management
administration of rights and licences
development of a workflow frontend and a data repository incl. AAI (Authentication and Authorization Infrastructure)
training measures

The long-term usage of TextGrid is ensured by the integration in DARIAH-DE.
